From an early age Kevin has been fascinated with taking things apart, fixing them, and putting them back together. This is why he is passionate about piano tuning and servicing.
Kevin has been tuning pianos for about five years. He was hired by the well known Classic Pianos in November of 2020. He has and continues to mentor under Mike Routh and Michael Jackson; two of the top Piano Technicians in the state. Kevin is an associate member of the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG).

Piano Tuning
We have been in business for about five years, and have extensive experience playing, performing, and taking pianos apart. We service all types of spinet, console, upright and grand pianos. It doesn't matter if it's a Steinway Grand or a Spinet with no name, we treat each piano as our own.
The more you take care of the instrument and schedule regular tunings, the greater the longevity of the instrument. Think of your piano like a car; cars need regular oil changes and checkups, pianos are no different. If you let them go longer there is a greater chance of deterioration over time.
Piano Cleaning
Over time dust builds up on the soundboard, beneath the keys, and on the strings of pianos. We recommend that you schedule a piano cleaning about every 10 years. This service entails taking the action out of the piano, cleaning the soundboard, vacuuming the inside of the piano, and getting any unwanted items out of the piano that have fallen inside. (Pencils and pens are a popular choice!)
Hammer Reshaping and Voicing
Voicing is the delicate process of refining the tone of the piano. Most pianos can be voiced to sound warm, bright, harsh, or mellow. Every instrument has a limit though, and we would be happy to talk about your pianos needs and what we can do to fix them.

Rates for a Basic Service Call
We offer one price for pianos within a 45 minute drive of Englewood.
$225 for tuning and any work up to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Most tuners rush and head to the next appointment; we are there to create a connection and give you a great service in the process.
Action Regulation
Got a sticking key? Over the years, parts become loose, break, or need adjusted. Piano regulation keeps the piano feeling good and playing correctly. This service adjusts the piano close to factory specs and will make your piano play and feel new again.
In 2020, Kevin was hired by Classic Pianos for in-store and in-home tuning and repair. This piano store is one of the best in the area.
